Louis Rees-Zammit settles NFL vs rugby athleticism debate, but has one caveat

Something else we never see in dull rugby - players hurdling over tackles https://youtu.be/e7dCDb_3_bg

We also don't see the violence of shoulder tackling (for obvious reasons)

If you tried this without pads players would die. Literally

Rugby is just plain boring. Big plodding men bashing into each other gaining a yard here and there. There are almost never any long runs. Like watching paint dry.

Compare that to this https://youtu.be/A_Of0jcpaKc

Like I said - maybe rugby needs to change the rules and allow forward passing. If they allowed that this would open up the run game and we'd see some game breakers instead of the 1 or 2 yard bashes forward

You wanna know why NFL players make tens of millions of USD per year? It's because the sport is exciting and the audience is massive despite being played in only one country.

Rugby is played in quite a few countries with a potentially much larger audience ... but because it is so boring only hard core fans watch. That's why the players get paid jack shit.

Of course you will not accept this just like you will not accept the fact that Zammit has stated NFL players are 'freaks' and superior athletes to rugby players.

Let's take a look at what happens when gridiron meets rugby. Carlin Isles blows away the slow white men - and he never played in the NFL. In fact he was a 3rd rate college player that never made division 1 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TgazFutTip0
