Who was the ref? Felt England were able to abuse him much more.

A good battle from teams outside the top 8, rugby world needs teams like these making the other games a contest worth watching. Felt England put too much on their plate to also cope with what Samoa was able to bring. Samoa really lacking the usual sort of threats they bring to a WC but have (‘had’, now) enough around the park that if things had of gone their way they could have made the playoffs through this more ‘conventional’ play.

England have been improving with every game in the tournament thus far and Samoa have their work cut out. Not impossible- but it's going to be a big ask.
