A great and bad game at the same time. Too many mistakes by both sides, and awful refereeing on both sides. Boks 1st try should not have stood. Was short and dropped. The yellow for Fassi was not a yellow. The AB's hands in the rucks that they got away with. 2 high tackles from the AB's that was missed. DDA with an easy give away try to Barret. I could carry on and on and it won't change a thing. Then there was individual brilliant game play aka the Barret intercept, Fassi and SFM breaks and great breakdowns by the Boks, and some of those hits was Massive. PSDT...wow. What is there that wasn't said? The SA lineouts was a mess, and strangely enough, it was only stable when the Rookie Ruan Nortje was on. Didn't miss even one. Players on both sides played their hearts out. No matter the result, it was one hell of a game, as it always is between these two monster mountain sides. There was power, there was speed, there was x factor, there was running galore and individual brilliance on both sides. What an amazing game. The scoreline I won't remember because the clash itself far outstrips the result. Congrats to both teams to one of the best games ever.

A cracker for the history books.

My prediction for Bok 23 (based on form this RC and availability):

1. Ox

2. Marx

3. Koch

4. Eben

5. Nortje

6. Siya (c)

7. PSDT

8. Louw

9. Williams*

10. Pollard

11. KLA

12. DDA

13. Am

14. Kolbe

15. WLR

16. Mbonambi

17. Malherbe

18. du Toit

19. RG Snyman

20. van Staden (Wiese possibly)

21. Kwagga

22. Reinach

23. SFM

The front row might be the wrong way round - but I’d start with the traditional bomb squad members to keep the ABs out of it in the first half. Rucks are going to be fast and furious.

Wiese might come off the bench - coming back from his ban. He needs to get game time. I’m not sure the first test against the ABs is the right time - but Rassie tends to go with experience for the big ones, so Dixon might miss out.

Williams will likely come off the bench for Reinach - but I think he’s been SA’s best scrum half. Again Reinach will probably start ahead given his experience.
