Ball suffers dislocated shoulder, Tipuric out of Springboks Test
Jake Ball is facing a lengthy absence after dislocating his shoulder and Justin Tipuric has also been ruled out of Wales’ clash with South Africa on Saturday.
Scarlets powerhouse Ball was carted off in the first half of a 33-18 defeat to New Zealand last weekend and will undergo surgery to repair the damage.
Tipuric suffered a quad injury in the loss to the world champions and the back-row has been released from the squad to be treated by Ospreys.
Wales also have an injury concern over scrum-half Rhys Webb, who is going through concussion protocols after taking a blow to the head against the All Blacks.
Centre Scott Williams is another Wales player who is a doubt to face the Springboks, having injured his ankle.
Thanks for all the support and messages over the last couple days much appreciated. Best of luck to the @WelshRugbyUnion lads this weekend
