Bath rout Worcester to end losing run
Kahn Fotuali’i scored twice as six-try Bath returned to winning ways with a 46-25 rout of Worcester Warriors on Friday.
Todd Blackadder’s men had lost their past three Premiership matches before the trip to Sixways to face lowly Worcester, but a second-half romp restored the winning feeling.
Ben Tapuai’s try and eight points from the boot of Rhys Priestland helped Bath to a 13-6 lead at the break.
And the visitors exploded after the interval as Matt Garvey, Anthony Watson, James Phillips and Fotuali’i dotted down, with Dave Denton crossing for Worcester in between those tries.
James Phillips powered by four defenders to increase Bath’s lead and Fotuali’i charged down a Worcester clearance to score his second after Joe Taufete’e had responded for Worcester.
Perry Humphreys added a late try for Worcester, but they remain second from bottom while Bath are fifth.
