Donald to captain Chiefs against Lions
Veteran Stephen Donald will captain the Chiefs in their clash against the British and Irish Lions on Tuesday.
Donald, 33, leads an understrength team for the encounter in Hamilton, with six Chiefs players unavailable due to All Blacks duty.
Coach Dave Rennie has included Liam Messam and Hika Elliot on the bench even though the duo faced the Lions with the Maori All Blacks on Saturday.
The Lions ran out convincing 32-10 winners in that clash, with the Chiefs encounter marking their last before the Test series against New Zealand begins.
The Chiefs have included Luteru Laulala and Chase Tiatia for potential debuts.
