England's record-equalling run - Match by match
Ireland dashed England’s hopes of securing a second successive Six Nations Grand Slam on Saturday – a defeat that also denied the reigning champions a record breaking 19th successive win.
England matched New Zealand’s marker of 18 with a thumping victory over Scotland last weekend, opening the door for them to claim the outright record for consecutive triumphs by a tier-one nation.
However, a 13-9 defeat at the Aviva Stadium means England must now settle for a share of that honour with the All Blacks.
The first of England’s sequence of wins came at the end of Stuart Lancaster’s reign, as Uruguay were beaten in a Rugby World Cup dead rubber.
Eddie Jones duly succeeded Lancaster and did not taste defeat as head coach until Saturday.
We take a look at England’s results during their record-equalling run.
