Stormers inflict 16th straight defeat on URC strugglers Dragons

The ‘croc roll’ penalty against Salman Moerat was a joke. No neck roll, doesn’t fall on a lower limb, doesn’t even complete the clear out. A second stormers player makes the clean. Feels like every time a player takes longer than ‘normal’ to get to their feet a TMO looks for a reason to inject themselves and award a card. The URC has a big problem with the quality of refereeing overall. Can’t offer any solutions, but I’d like to see what rugby is like when only the on-field refs can call for a TMO review.

Crusaders v Chiefs takes: Sititi back with a bang, Chiefs justify favourites tag

While there is obvious focus on Sititi, the Chiefs have a squad of excellent loose forwards who have done the job while Wallace has been out. Luke Jacobson is a constant performer and a natural leader. The Chiefs forwards have bested the Crusaders in both games this year so hopefully Razor has noted that, though he will probably still go for his usual suspects, like Blackadder, who has hardly put a foot wrong (well anywhere) this season! :(

Crusaders v Chiefs takes: Sititi back with a bang, Chiefs justify favourites tag

Wallace Sititi did have a great game for Chiefs. Will Jordans loss was huge our best attacking weapon and tactician for the Crusaders. We also needed Ethan Blackadder back. He was so good against the Blues. I was at the game and we were blighted by poor tactics.

Five Lions that can maul the Wallabies

You plan for contingencies, I don’t think Earl or Pollock should play no.12 but you if you go a 6-2 split you have to be able to have the right players able to step into a role and they are both fast , athletic and powerful enough to do a job, at a pinch, should you have no other option as opposed to a Chessum, Cummings, Curry or Beirne.
