Former head coach Andy Robinson joins Bath coaching team
Bath have appointed former head coach Andy Robinson and ex-Scotland forward Stevie Scott to their coaching team.
Robinson, 59, who led Bath to Heineken Cup glory in 1997 and acted as consultant last season, has been installed as the Gallagher Premiership club’s new head academy coach and Scott, 48, as their new scrum coach.
Former England flanker Robinson told Bath’s official website: “I’m glad to be back at Bath and I’m looking forward to making a change on the pitch.
“There’s a great group of players here and I’m excited to see what I can achieve with the team.”
Head of rugby Johann van Graan added: “Andy has achieved a tremendous amount in both his playing and coaching career and is a well-known face in the city.
“It’ll be great for all of us here to have someone so deeply connected to Bath’s professional rugby history.”
Scott was capped 11 times for Scotland at prop and has held previous coaching roles at Sale, Scotland and Edinburgh.
Van Graan added: “Stevie is a hugely experienced coach, and he’s the right type of person I want coaching with me at the club.”
