Gareth Anscombe returns as Gloucester makes 7 changes for Bath

Gareth Anscombe returns to the Gloucester starting line-up as one of seven personnel changes for Sunday’s Challenge Cup quarter-final against Bath at The Rec.

The Wales international is named at fly-half having recovered from a minor injury. He will form a new half-back pairing with Caolan Englefield.

Santi Carreras, Christian Wade and Jake Morris continue in an unchanged back three, while Will Butler comes into the midfield alongside captain Chris Harris.

      There are two further changes in the back row. Deian Gwynne is promoted to the starting side, replacing Jack Clement, and Harry Taylor comes in for Ludlow. Ruan Ackermann is the only survivor in the back row from the team that defeated Castres in the Round of 16.

      The bench features a 6–2 forwards split. Seb Blake, Val Rapava Ruskin, Afo Fasogbon, Freddie Thomas, Ludlow and Clement provide cover up front, while Tomos Williams and Charlie Atkinson are named as the backline replacements.
