Henry Pollock branded 'clown' for latest antics with South African bruiser

Too many supporters and people in the media excuse Pillock’s embarrassing behaviour by saying he’s the sort of “character” the sport needs and has the talent to back it up. The best to ever do it like Carter, McCaw and Lomu never behaved like enormously spoilt brats. Pillock’s behaviour doesn’t enhance the game - if anything it paints it in a bad light.

Ever since Pillock came onto the scene, surrounded by the usual mandatory hyperbole which the English media attaches to all things English, it was obvious to everyone outside the jingoistic English that he was a total plastic at best and the Kardashian wannabe has proven himself to be must worse than that. He is unable to control his childish narcissistic behaviour and he doesn’t have the talent which he clearly believes he has. It cannot be excused or explained by age. We have seen numerous younger players who have hit the spotlight for all the right reasons and didn’t behave like the offspring of Donald J Trump. Maybe if the English media stopped hyping and excusing Pillock’s behaviour and called it as it is, he may still have the time to let his limited rugby talent do the talking and stop being the hateful attention grabbing spoilt manbaby he clearly is at present. I suspect he is what he is.

Playing against Pillock is like playing against a badly brought up yob, did he not learn anything at school, or was he given total free rein to behave in this manner? He will put a target on his own back if he carries on and his coaches should be having a serious chat before he becomes more of a liability to whichever team he plays for.

We have all seen this celeb in sports before. Many make it most get lost in their own hubris. Saints and England are doing this young man a disservice. He is still

young enough to be educated ( a job his school coach should have done). He is intent on drawing the attention to himself in a team dynamic. A sport with such epic values will sort him out - this must be driven by his own team mates. Indulge him at the teams peril.

The way Pillock was goading Liebenberg to lose his temper hoping Liebenberg would react in such a manner to have Liebenberg penalised should have been worth a Yellow Card in itself as per World Rugby’s Law 9.27 ‘A player must not do anything that is against the spirit of good sportsmanship’.

Pillock needs to be given a reality check to show that he is not bigger than the game itself nor bigger than his England Team Members that he was goading/shoving as well.

Every competitor knows that Pollock has a “Clown” button that is easy to push. As English punters knowledgably promise, It will be worth it when his army of Tick Tock fans start playing the game though! (LOL)
