Ireland await update on Henshaw injury
Ireland will anxiously await an update on the fitness of Robbie Henshaw after the centre suffered a suspected dislocated shoulder in the Six Nations win over Italy.
Henshaw was hurt in the act of scoring his second try as Ireland ran out 56-19 winners in Dublin to maintain their perfect start to the tournament.
The Leinster back left the field with his injured right arm in a sling, but head coach Joe Schmidt is holding on to hope Henshaw may have avoided serious injury.
“We’ll know post a scan tomorrow [Sunday],” said Schmidt in a news conference. “We’ve got a scan booked for him.
“He looked in a fair bit of discomfort coming off. He’s a lot more comfortable now, which is promising, but what’s not promising is the degree of discomfort he was in.
“We’ll have an update hopefully later once he’s had that scan.”

Ireland also saw Tadhg Furlong limp off in the first half of Saturday’s game, although the prop’s injury does not appear to be too severe.
“He felt a tightening on deceleration,” explained Schmidt. “For a tighthead prop, he probably just moves a little more quickly than he should.
“We will check him out tomorrow, that will give us a better picture, but we’d be hopeful that he would still be okay in two weeks’ time.”
Reflecting on his team’s display, Schmidt added: “I felt we played with some good width and most of it was accurate. We turned the ball over a lot more than we would have planned to, but I felt we scored some really good tries in that first 40 minutes.”
