Italy skipper Parisse breaks Six Nations appearance record

Sergio Parisse has broken the record for the most Six Nations appearances after leading out Italy for their clash with Scotland.

Parisse, 35, surpassed Brian O’Driscoll’s tally of 65 Six Nations caps at Murrayfield on Saturday in his country’s first match of the 2019 tournament – and has started in each of his 66 outings.

Italy’s skipper now boasts 135 caps in all, having made his Test debut back in 2002.

The veteran number eight’s first Six Nations appearance came two years later against England.

Parisse has been on the losing side in 100 Tests to date, but he has been Italy’s standout player during his career and remains a key figure under Conor O’Shea.

Nah, Jordies up there having fun making $$$ not being bashed to bits each week as he usually is down here. One thing every player says of NH rugby when they return home, is its slower pace & its lesser intensity across the 80. No wonder Jordie still looks fresh.

Also, I’m not sure that an average URC crowd attendance of 11,000 across the last 3 seasons is anything to boast about, is it?

Yes, well, not because it is the goal though. That sort of rugby would be the result though yeah (were only talking slight degrees of changes of course, but enough to sway who wins a game say).

Of course, have been for decades. Since the amateur area it has been a cause of changes. Seems like his typical random argument though, what were the weights of the pack?

But we don’t ban skydiving or hang gliding, or crossing the road.

Again, of course they do. Those industries and activities would be far more heavily affected by red tap that scrummaging.

Spotlight falls on Cam Roigard as Hurricanes' woes continue

Hurricane in a tea cup. Cam is fine and playing decent footy. The guy's top drawer and will show his class when he's back in the AB's with other quality teammates.

For mine, he's one of those group of three or four and sometimes more special players in his era, that forms the nucleus around which the rest of the AB's are built.
