Last-gasp Worcester try stings Leicester Tigers
Tom Howe’s last-minute try snatched a 17-13 Premiership victory for Worcester Warriors over fellow-strugglers Leicester Tigers at Sixways on Sunday.
The Tigers looked set to end a four-match losing streak when Tom Hardwick’s penalty put them in front, but Howe applied the finish a minute from time to move Worcester above Bristol Bears and nine points clear of bottom side Newcastle Falcons.
Wales wing Jonah Holmes scored the only try of the first half to put the Tigers 10-3 up at the break after penalties from Matt Toomua and Duncan Weir.

Francois Hougaard’s converted score brought Worcester – thumped by Harlequins last weekend – level early in the second half, but the boot of Hardwick looked to have settle it.
There was one final twist, though, as Worcester were rewarded for continuing to knock on the door when Howe touched down to complete a treble for the Warriors over Leicester this season.
