Les Fidji qualifiées pour la Coupe du Monde de Rugby Féminin 2025

Les Fidji sont devenues la neuvième équipe à se qualifier pour la Coupe du Monde de Rugby Féminin 2025 après avoir remporté le Oceania Rugby Women’s Championship 2024 grâce à leur victoire 27-13 sur les Samoa, championnes en titre, lors du dernier match du tournoi, dimanche 2 juin à Brisbane.

En remportant leur quatrième titre, les Fidji ont balayé leur défaite amère de l’an dernier (19-18) au même stade de la compétition et ont décroché leur billet pour une deuxième Coupe du Monde de Rugby, après avoir fait leurs débuts en Nouvelle-Zélande en 2022.

Cependant, elles ont été poussées jusqu’au bout par une équipe des Samoa qui a mis du temps à se mettre en route, n’ayant joué qu’un seul match contre deux pour les Fidji avant cela après l’annulation de leur rencontre du premier tour contre la Papouasie-Nouvelle-Guinée.

Parallèlement, les Tonga ont assuré la troisième place pour la troisième année consécutive en s’imposant 39-5 face à la Papouasie-Nouvelle-Guinée lors du premier match de la journée.

En tant que deux meilleures équipes au classement, les Fidji et les Samoa participeront au WXV 3 à Dubaï un peu plus tard dans l’année. Les six premières équipes non encore qualifiées au classement à l’issue du WXV réserveront leur billet pour l’Angleterre 2025, offrant ainsi aux Samoa une nouvelle chance de se hisser sur la plus grande scène du rugby.

It was some really excellent passing, and reasonable, well excecuted kicking, like he’s getting more comfortable as a playmaker. Actually what I mean to say is he seems to be decided between passing, kicking, and when to pin his ears back like normal, more seemlessly/faster.

We might just be projecting though because we know Razor wants him to be a bit of a 15 that can play tactically from the back or up in the line too? Maybe he’s the same as normal when in form.

Presumably because it did not gain enough support.

So I’ll keep my powder dry and believe that the law does already reflect the intention behind it - thanks.

All you’ve done is make an ass of yourself twice over.

First, by assuming that everything Owen Doyle says is correct. I’d be surprised if you can find someone to support that version of events.

Second, by doubling down and assuming that existing Law does not reflect WR’s intention. The law is black and white, and it says nothing about a 5/3 bench being mandatory.
