Liam Williams misses Lions training
British and Irish Lions full-back Liam Williams sat out training on Wednesday but is expected to be fit for the final New Zealand Test.
Williams played every minute as the Lions lost the opener against the All Blacks before pulling off a stunning victory to set up a decider in Auckland on Saturday.
The Wales international has been central to the tourists’ attacking play in both matches but missed training in Queenstown with “tightness” in his leg.
“He’s just a little bit tight, but he’ll be fine,” said coach Neil Jenkins.
“It’s probably precautionary, just a little bit of tightness.”
Leigh Halfpenny and Anthony Watson are among the options to replace Williams should he not make the weekend.
272 – @SanjayWills has gained 272 metres during the #NZLions2017 tour, more than any other player. Doubt. pic.twitter.com/E6jX8bWhte
