London Irish lock Adam Coleman handed ban following dangerous tackle
London Irish lock Adam Coleman has received a four-week ban after being sent off in the Exiles’ Gallagher Premiership win against Saracens.
The Australia international was red-carded following a dangerous tackle on Saracens hooker Tom Woolstencroft.
The Rugby Football Union said that Coleman, whose case was dealt with by an independent disciplinary panel, accepted the charge.
He will miss Premiership appointments with Gloucester and Bristol, Irish’s Heineken Champions Cup match against South African side DHL Stormers next month, plus a Premiership Rugby Cup game against Bath.
Saracens flanker Ben Earl, meanwhile, had the red card he received for a dangerous tackle in the same match dismissed by the panel.
