The Premiership’s cellar dwellers have already announced the capture of flanker Josh Bainbridge and full-back Louis Brown as they look to remodel their squad under new head coach Alex Codling.

But RugbyPass understands that their interest in Coventry also extends to the coaching ranks with Scaysbrook lined up to replace Mark Wilson.

Coventry have already secured third place in the Championship with one round to go and have won 16 of their 21 games to date under head coach Alex Rae.

Birmingham-born Scaysbrook, who played nearly 200 Premiership games as a tenacious flanker for Bath and Exeter, joined Coventry as defence coach ahead of the 2020/21 season.

Prior to his return to the West Midlands he had worked in Hong Kong and with the England U20s set-up before taking on the head coach role at Plymouth Albion in National One.
