It's official...Bristol Rugby are back in the Premiership
Bristol Rugby have won the Greene King IPA Championship and are officially promoted back into the Premiership, after Championship rivals Ealing Trailfinders lost today.
Last night Bristol thumped Nottingham 17 – 60 away from home, but it was the loss of Ealing to Doncaster Knights that sealed both teams’ fates.
Bristol now have an insurmountable 18 point lead with second place Ealing only theoretically able to amass 15 more points in the competition.
Congratulations to @Bristol_RFC!! ???
They've been crowned champions of @Champrugby this afternoon and will be back in the #AvivaPrem next season ??? pic.twitter.com/MSFa8OIdIO

Bristol Rugby have lost just one game all season, against the Jersey Reds, and have two games remaining; against Doncaster and Hartpury.
The Bristolian outfit were relegated from the Premiership at the end of the 2016/17 season, but have bolstered their squad heavily ahead of their projected return.
Key signings like Ian Madigan, Steven Luatua and Charles Piutau mean that the famous side should be better prepared for a return to the English top flight.
