If only that was true. Somehow SA players like kholisi - to name just one, got away with even worse
6 Go to commentsGoodness, you already have a bad name.
6 Go to commentsFrom a neutral perspective I think he is totally spot-on this.
A different matter is the sad, disproportionate and soccer-esque drama they have created regarding the refereeing.
12 Go to commentsJS has done well with Aus but he’s not got everything right, then again, neither has Farrell. If Aus win on sat by any score then they’ll have exceeded most peoples expectations but no, it won’t make up for losing the series.

12 Go to commentsIt was a tight call. But let’s not moan fellas … you’ll give SA rugby fans a bad name.

2 Go to commentsWhat they've got is a core of players from a good Irish team and an excellent coach. In spite of this they've still struggled for cohesion but have solid players from 1-15 and very accomplished halfbacks steering the ship. They've been ok. Any talk of them going down as the greatest Lions team in history if they win 3-0 is nonsense. I think the fact that so many of the starting team come from one nation implies they're not that great. Very few players from the other nations have put their hands up. Without really hurting the quality of the team you could replace most of the non-Irish players with their Irish counterparts - Curry by JVDF, Freeman by Hansen, Chessum by McCarthy, the centres by Aki and Ringrose. You're basically playing against a good but past their best Ireland team plus Itoje and Russell.
8 Go to commentsDespite their 2-0 advantage and the concerns as recently as a few months ago that the series wouldn’t be competitive, it’s only 56-45 on aggregate.
I’d the Lions for the first game, Wallabies for the next two. My views on Keenan and Furlong were before and after the first test and I feel accurate. I’m pretty sure you didn’t call the loss to Argentina on match day one? I did because of Albornoz - the best test 10 currently in the game.
If the Wallabies win on Saturday and by 12 PTS or more is that a moral victory?

20 Go to commentsMarginal? There were 4 penalty infringements between Morgan and Genge in that phase of play.
01. Reckless attempted clear out and head contact as targeted above the shoulders.
02. Morgan goes first, Genge just after and both drive through the ruck off their feet.
03. Both commit clear and obvious sealing - Morgan’s left hand on the ground as he makes the hit - not supporting his bodyweight.
04. Morgan plays him on the ground by pinning his legs for around 3 seconds during ‘Oscar theatrics’ - the ball is live. He has played a player off the ball.
You’ve mentioned WR - funny how often they have to come out and clean up after Piardi. It was every other game at one stage in the URC this season.
Do you have predictions, Ed? You must have opinions surely? Or is your bum numb from sitting on the fence constantly?

Very unusual, for Matt.
