Andy Rowe gets plenty of stick following the Crusaders’ loss. The guys give their take on the Lions squad and who’s in pole position for the first test and we cover all the latest rumours as well as the Goode, The bad and the ugly.

Who is telling the truth about France's tour of New Zealand?

It’s not about being written off. Nobody in NZ with half a brain cell underestimates ANY French team. Even Marshall’s slightly oafish comments were pointing out the attitude of French rugby rather than the ability of the players.

You reckon? I don’t I just think it’s an insurance policy if Russell goes down and or to get the balance of the bench right if needed, with form I reckon he has played so much it’s not as important,as for fitness that’s up to the doctors, do I think he will play good? Probably not😂would I have picked him ? No 😂 I would have gone Jordan but that is another kiwi 😂I think it has been done for real reasons but I can see why people think not still in my book them fighting words either way

Fiji at home!!atmosphere going to be the biz fans the best easy, would say this is the game I would like to be at watching live the most this WE, of course ABS v France is compelling and intriguing but the cake tin in July I will take snorkeling Suva and a pub to watch it later and hopefully Jim gets to play…second would have to be U20s NZ v Ireland but won’t lie those Bok boys woo wee! they would be very cool to see…Northern Italy does looks beautiful at this time of year

Nepotism is the only logical explanation for farrell jnrs inclusion in the lions squad. Merit, based on current form & fitness simply doesn't exist. Campo was right to call it out.

I am a fan of Walker-Leawere I like a good s**t stirrer and he is choosing his times better reckon he could thrive in an ABs squad ,but good on Ah Koi was good more often than not all Super, Paddy start go with the big 3 see if we can get some lineout steals this time rather than the 🍩

The last time this early season scenario occurred, Ardie’s leadership was mud & Los Pumas beat us 30-38. Hopefully he’s a lot wiser this time.

Paddy Tuipolutu is clearly the next lock cab off the rank. His experience will fit well with rookie Holland. Also, his immense SRP Finals form in Blues beating Chiefs & going close v Crusaders, was impressive.

Good points about those players. Scott Barrett’s locking partner at the Crusaders Antonio Shalfoon is another option. He had a great season . He is tough and made it in to the NZ Maori team.

Scooter plays an important role in the AB forward pack - in addition to his leadership, he also has a high energy game - that has been a little off this year - wonder if he has been carrying this for a while? I like Ah-Kuoi but would like to see him at 6 in the international game. I think McWhannell played well for the Blues and the MABs and could cover a locking position and Walker-Leawere seems to have also tidied his game up this year so could be an option. Opportunities to test our depth.
