Edinburgh have completed the signing of Hurricanes winger Wes Goosen, who will join the Scottish capital club ahead of the 2022/23 season. A club statement read: “Goosen, 26 – who was born in South Africa and qualifies for New Zealand through residency – will link up with Mike Blair’s squad this summer following the conclusion of the Super Rugby season.

“A New Zealand schools representative in 2013, Goosen played age-grade rugby for New Zealand at U20 level where he helped the Baby Blacks to an Oceania Rugby U20 Championship title in 2015. Equally adept at both wing and outside-centre, Goosen has scored an impressive 30 tries in 66 Super Rugby appearances for the Wellington side since making his debut in 2016.

“Born in the South African city of East London, Goosen moved to New Zealand with his family aged four, initially settling in Auckland before moving south to the nation’s capital, Wellington. He first played provincial rugby for Wellington in the 2014 ITM Cup and became a regular starter the following year, scoring two tries in nine matches. The winger also played in the 2016 Mitre 10 Cup, scoring four tries in eleven games.

Dave Attwood on bust ups with Owen Farrell, Sam Burgess & new Bath era | RugbyPass Offload | Episode 35

Bristol and England’s Dave Attwood joins the guys this week to reveal some loose stories from a well-traveled career. We hear about his run-in with Owen Farell, why his modern man approach didn’t go down well with a certain head coach, and skiing in France with the Galacticos of Toulon. We also get Dave’s first-hand account of Carl Fearns and Gavin Henson’s bust-up and the fallout from Sam Burgess’ move to Bath.

Goosen enjoyed a breakout season in 2019 – scoring eight tries in 13 Super Rugby appearances – and has been an?ever-present?attacking threat this season, starting every match he has featured in so far (eight), with Hurricanes currently fifth in the Super Rugby standings.”

Goosen said: “I’m so excited and ready for a new challenge. From what I’ve heard, Edinburgh is an amazing place to live and the club seems like a perfect fit for me in my career right now. After speaking to Mike (Blair, the head coach) it ended up being an easy decision. Edinburgh’s values aligned with mine and they are a family-oriented club too.

“Supporters can expect consistency from me. I’m a determined and selfless player who is hungry to make sure we take home the win. I’m looking forward to taking what I’ve learnt in my years in New Zealand and giving it my all in Edinburgh. I’ve watched a few Edinburgh games this year which makes me really excited to get out there and play alongside the current players.

“I really like what Mike is doing with the attack. It’s such an exciting brand of rugby. I can’t wait to play in the Champions Cup. It makes the move even more exciting. I’m looking forward to meeting everybody and then getting into the season and giving it our all as a team.”

Edinburgh boss Blair added: “We believe this is a fantastic signing and think Edinburgh supporters will love what they’re getting in Wes. He’s quick, explosive and a brilliant finisher to boot. He’ll bring a new dynamic to an already exciting back-three unit who have been impressive all season.

“Having someone of Wes’ experience in the squad will also be key in helping the development of our younger backs, who’ll all be pushing for more minutes next season. We’re really looking forward to welcoming Wes to Edinburgh this summer and I’m sure supporters will be excited to see him pull on the jersey and represent the club at DAM Health Stadium.”

'Poor comments from me' - Watson backtracks on emotional red card outburst

My partner and I had always been cautious investors, but like many others, we fell victim to an investment scheme that promised high returns in the cryptocurrency space. The company had a sleek website, a compelling pitch, and even endorsements from supposed financial experts. It all looked legitimate—until it wasn’t. One morning, as I checked our crypto wallet, my stomach dropped. The 350 ETH we had transferred was gone. The platform was suddenly inaccessible, support emails bounced back, and the so-called “investment managers” had disappeared. Panic set in. My partner, Lisa, tried to remain calm, but I could see the worry in her eyes. This was our hard-earned savings, and we had been scammed. Determined not to give up, we scoured the internet for help. That’s when we came across Galaxy Ethical Tech—a company specializing in ethical blockchain investigations and asset recovery. Their reputation was impeccable, and they had successfully helped many people retrieve lost funds from fraudulent crypto schemes. With nothing to lose, we reached out. Galaxy Ethical Tech assigned us a dedicated blockchain forensics expert, Daniel, who listened patiently to our story. He assured us that their technology could trace our stolen Ethereum across multiple wallets, even if the scammers had tried to obscure the transactions. Using advanced blockchain analytics and AI-driven tracing, Daniel and his team mapped out the movement of our ETH. The scammers had funneled the funds through multiple wallets and mixing services, but Galaxy Ethical Tech’s algorithms identified patterns in the transactions. Within 72 hours, they pinpointed where the stolen Ethereum had been consolidated. The next step was enforcement. Galaxy Ethical Tech collaborated with cybercrime authorities and blockchain security networks to freeze the identified wallets. They also leveraged their ethical hacking team to monitor real-time movements and prevent further laundering of the funds.Within two weeks, we received an email that made our hearts race. A significant portion of our 350 ETH had been recovered! Galaxy Ethical Tech coordinated with an exchange compliance team to ensure the funds were returned to our wallet. The relief was overwhelming. We had gone from despair to gratitude, all thanks to the ethical, transparent, and highly skilled approach of Galaxy Ethical Tech. Their AI-powered forensics, legal partnerships, and ethical hacking had saved us from a devastating loss.Today, Lisa and I are more cautious than ever in the crypto space, and we actively educate others on avoiding scams. But if there’s one thing we know for sure, it’s this: when technology is used ethically, it can do wonders—even reclaim what was thought to be lost forever.Galaxy Ethical Tech didn’t just recover our Ethereum. They restored our faith in the power of ethical innovation.contact them via Email: galaxyethicaltech@mail.comWhatsapp: +15072712442Telegram: Galaxy_ethical_tech
