The BBC report that Williams will appear in court next month after “being charged with affray”.

The winger – who is in Dublin covering the Ireland Wales game for ITV – is one of six men facing the charge.

South Wales Police said in statement: “Six men have been charged with affray following an incident on Great Western Lane, Cardiff, on 2 December 2017.”

The men will appear at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court on 9 March.

According to the BBC “South Wales Police said the other men who have been charged were aged 26, 32, 37, 42 and 53.”

Affray is a legal term which according to English common law is defined as such: ‘A person is guilty of affray if he uses or threatens unlawful violence towards another and his conduct is such as would cause a person of reasonable firmness present at the scene to fear for his personal safety.’

He is Wales’ leading try scorer and was in November 2016 inducted into the World Rugby Hall of Fame.
