Crusaders impact could put veteran O’Connor in Wallabies mix for Lions

Thanks for the article Brett. Interesting topic for us to debate. James O’Connor would be my pick for being the most exciting back, maybe even could say the greatest, that I have seen emerge in my time living in Australia, now close to 40 years.

One of those interesting players, who could have played for any of the WB’s, AB’s, or Bok’s. And along with David Pocock, he was developed by the W. Force, after both were schooled in Brisbane. And both could have played for the Boks….just ponder on that one !

It was so sad to see him go off the rails, and waste some of his best years, lost to the WB’s. But the story does have this great ending. Thrown a lifeline by Sale Sharks in England, where he took his chances and worked hard, and was a good team player, by all accounts highly valued. Then coming back to the the state of his birth, and playing for the Qld. Reds. There is no doubt in my mind that he has been a big element in the Reds becoming a much better side during his time with them. And now what is probably the last chapter, playing for one of the great rugby teams, the Crusaders.

My view would be that James O’Connor would be a wonderful member of Joe Schmidt’s broader squad, preparing to take on the the B&I Lions. He just looks, from where we stand as observers, to be one of those players one loves to train and play with. He is so multi talented, and who knows, given the cruel hand of injuries, and the vagaries of form, James O’Connor my one last time run out onto the pitch to stand and sing “Advance Australia Fair”. I for one hope he does !

Former England star leads Benetton to huge URC result over Lions

I found myself constantly looking for ways to make the money stretch. That’s when I came across an investment scheme that promised massive returns anywhere from $1,000 to $10,000, or even up to $500,000 on a $5,000 investment. Desperate to secure a better future for my son, I decided to take a risk, believing that this could be the breakthrough I so desperately needed.I invested the $5,000, hoping that the promised returns would help me pay my bills, buy necessities for my child, and alleviate some of the weight of my situation. But, as it turned out, the entire scheme was a scam. The money I invested disappeared, and I had no way of recovering it. I was crushed. What started as a simple hope for a better future turned into a nightmare. My financial situation went from bad to worse, and I found myself drowning in despair. I was completely helpless, and I felt like I had failed my son. It was then that my family stepped in to support me, offering both emotional and practical help during this incredibly tough time. They helped me connect with a company called Rapid Digital Recovery, a firm that specializes in recovering lost or hidden assets. I was skeptical at first, but I was willing to try anything to get back what I had lost. The team at Rapid Digital Recovery worked tirelessly on my case, and after some time, they successfully recovered 99% of my investment. Although I didn’t recover everything, the 99% recovery was a huge relief. The support from my family, combined with the efforts of Rapid Digital Recovery, gave me hope once again. I learned a hard lesson about trusting too easily but also discovered the importance of seeking help when things feel hopeless. My son and I are still rebuilding, but I’m determined to keep moving forward, no matter the challenges that lie ahead.
