Suspended Williams set for Racing 92 exit

Racing 92’s Ali Williams

Ali Williams is set to be sacked by Racing 92 after he was arrested on suspicion of possessing cocaine.

Williams was suspended by the Top 14 club last month after he and Toulon utility back James O’Connor were taken into custody in Paris on February 25.

He was subsequently suspended by Racing and club president Jacky Lorenzetti has indicated they will soon end their relationship with the former New Zealand international.

“Unfortunately, Ali Williams will soon be dismissed,” Lorenzetti is quoted as telling Midi-Olympique.

“But that will not stop us from listening to him and giving him a hand outside of rugby. Personally, I just advised him to take some time out.”
