Three Fiji squad members Test positive for Covid-19

Three members of Fiji’s rugby union squad have tested positive for COVID-19 at their base in France as they prepare for the Nations Cup, the union’s chief executive told local television on Monday.

The players were isolated from the rest of the squad, who continued to train at their base in Limoges, John O’Connor told the Fiji https://www.fbcnews.com.fj/news/three-flying-fijians-test-positive-for-covid-19 Broadcasting Corporation.

The Fiji Rugby Union were not immediately available for comment.

O’Connor said none of the three players had shown any symptoms.

The squad were tested after assembling in France and would be tested twice each week.

Fiji are scheduled to play Portugal in a warmup match on Friday before their first Nations Cup clash against France on Nov. 15. They play Italy on Nov. 21 and Scotland on Nov. 28 before a final match on the first weekend in December.
