Tigers had been due at Sixways for a lunchtime kick-off in the northern conference encounter, but have been forced to request a postponement due to issues with player availability, safety and injury.

The club said: “The team’s next scheduled fixture in the competition is against Newcastle Falcons at Loughborough University on New Year’s Eve. Kick-off is at 1.00pm and supporters are welcome.”

The Premiership Shield replaces the ‘A League’.

This year’s competition consists of two conferences of six teams.
