Sa suspension pour propos racistes purgée, l’arrière du RC Toulon Melvyn Jaminet a effectué son retour en Top 14 ce samedi en entrant à la 61e minute de jeu de la rencontre face au Stade Français pour la 17e journée de championnat.

Suspendu 26 semaines par la Fédération française de rugby en juillet dernier après des propos à caractère raciste tenus dans une vidéo postée sur ses réseaux sociaux lors de la tournée des Bleus en Argentine, Melvyn Jaminet a remplacé Marius Domon pour disputer ses premières minutes de la saison.

Jaminet acclamé à son arrivée au stade, ovationné à son entrée en jeu

Le buteur varois, international aux 20 sélections, a été acclamé dès son arrivée au stade Mayol ce samedi par le public rouge et noir avant de l’être à nouveau lors de l’annonce des compositions d’équipes avant la rencontre.

Melvyn Jaminet a ensuite reçu une ovation du public toulonnais lors de son entrée en jeu.

Pendant vingt minutes, il a ainsi participé au succès de son équipe, le 12e de la saison, au cours duquel Toulon a inscrit trois essais, synonymes de point de bonus.

Jaminet, 25 ans s’est montré plutôt discret pour ses premiers pas de la saison sur le terrain même s’il a reçu de nouveaux applaudissements de la part des supporters lorsqu’il a touché son premier ballon.

Son manager Pierre Mignoni avait estimé en conférence de presse vendredi que le joueur avait « payé sa dette » avec ses semaines de suspension.

My theory is that they prioritised making history in 24 and 25 (consecutive slams, SA series, 6n threepeat) while the golden generation was still going strong. After that there's quite a few players from Doris' age down, plus the three consecutive U20s teams that got first then first then second in their 6n, who will be around in 2031.

Mia Venner on 'rollercoaster ride' back into Red Roses contention

Mia Venner is a very good player and has had a great season with GH-I would agree though that she does perhaps lack that attacking X factor dow,breach,kildunne have-they can and have scored tries from anywhere.Millie David has that attacking x factor-but perhaps they dont feel her defensive work and all around game is strong enough yet.Im sure her time will come.

2025 Women's Six Nations: Can Ireland break the third-place ceiling?

Can Ireland beat France? Yes. Will they beat France? No, I doubt it. Scotland will also be looking to beat France but I don’t think they will do it either. I will be surprised if it is not an England, France, 1, 2, in that order. The battle for third will be very interesting. I think there will be some sort of bounce back from Wales, so it is very difficult to call any of the other matches, though I think Italy might struggle.

I personally don’t think that Mia Venner is worth a place in the Red Roses squad, not only is she some way behind the present incumbent wingers (Dow, Breach and MacDonald) but I would put at least Millie David and Bonner in front of her. I’m not even sure Dow would have scored the try David scored in the PWR semi-final.

False. Under Eddie Jones, Stuart got 25 caps out of the 32 fixtures played in 2020, 2021, and 2022. Under Borthwick, Stuart has got 25 caps out of the 33 fixtures played in 2023, 2024, and 2025.

I also enjoy the implication that he and Tipuric were competing for the same squad spot. Perhaps on account of Ford not having made his international debut yet, Gatland had never seen him play and just guessed his position?

Kinghorn without doubt.

Keenan is excellent but he doesn't provide the game breaking X-Factor you get with Kinghorn. If Kinghorn was unavailable it'd be Keenan by a mile but Kinghorn is too good.

Agree, and Ringrose got a red for a far less dangerous infrigment than Nash and Henshaw on Barassi. For Ringrose, Thomas did'nt even go to HIA and Barassi is out for at least a month.
