Eagles take Aviva Premiership head coach
Gary Gold is to leave his position as Worcester Warriors director of rugby at the end of the Premiership season and take up the role as head coach with the United States.
The Warriors appointed Gold in January and the South African helped steer them to safety, though they reside at the foot of this season’s table after five consecutive losses.
He will remain at Sixways until the end of the campaign and assist in the process of finding a replacement.
Gold, who will succeed John Mitchell following his move to Super Rugby side Bulls, is relishing a fresh challenge.
“I’m very thankful for the opportunity to move to Colorado and contribute toward growing and developing the game of rugby in America,” he said.
“There’s a lot of hard work to be done with some tremendous potential. Hard work, combined with the upside potential is what excites me about this position.”
Director of Rugby Gary Gold will be leaving Warriors to join @USARugby at the end of the season.

The USA will hope to make an impression at the 2019 World Cup, having returned from the previous tournament without a point.
