USA Rugby have announced their biggest-ever home event schedule which will take place later this year, with the men’s and women’s teams playing six fixtures across four cities, concluding with a double-header featuring a clash with Steve Borthwick’s England.

Alongside World Rugby, USA Rugby have partnered with TEG Sport, a promoter and producer of live sporting events, to deliver the series as the women’s team gear towards the Rugby World Cup later this year and the men’s team begin their preparations to qualify for the 2027 tournament.

The series of fixtures across four states comes six years before the US will host the men’s World Cup in 2031 and the women’s edition two years later.

With the 2025 Women’s Rugby World Cup set to begin in August in England, USA will start what will be a crucial year by hosting Japan at Los Angeles’ Wallis Annenberg Stadium on April 26, which will also be a double-header with a Major League Rugby match between RFCLA and San Diego Legion.

They will head to Missouri a week later to host Canada at Kansas City’s CPKC Stadium on May 2 in what could very well be a World Cup quarter-final come September.

The final match to be hosted in the USA for the women’s team will come two months later on July 19, with Fiji visiting Washington, DC’s Audi Field in a double-header with the men’s team. This will be their final match before they face tournament hosts and favourites England in the opening match of the World Cup a month later.

The men’s team will also be striving for World Cup qualification this year at the World Rugby Pacific Nations Cup in August, and will have three home matches in July to ensure they are up to full speed.

The first will see the Netherlands visit the American Legion Memorial Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina, on July 5, followed by Spain, ranked just one place below the USA in 16th, a week later on July 12 at the same venue.

They will conclude their series against England, fresh from a second-place finish in the Guinness Six Nations, as part of the double-header in Washington, DC, on July 19. The match will be the first time in over two decades that England will face the Eagles on US soil.

“This marks a special year for USA Rugby with the initial announcement of our home events series,” said USA Rugby CEO Bill Goren. “We’re thrilled to bring the Men’s and Women’s Eagles to fans coast-to-coast, in the largest slate of home matches since 2019. With Rugby World Cup stakes on the line for both teams, rugby fans can expect the very best rugby in stadiums this year.”

World Rugby Chair Brett Robinson said: “The U.S. is a rapidly growing rugby market with strong commercial and hosting interest ahead of the 2031 and 2033 Rugby World Cups. This test series reflects our ambition to build a sustainable competition calendar that enhances performance, attracts new audiences, and fuels rugby’s growth.”

TEG Sport CEO Geoff Jones added: “We are delighted to be a part of this exceptional list of rugby matches on U.S. soil. The American fans have shown they are hungry for more top-quality international rugby, and this slate of games represents exactly that. We look forward to continuing to support bringing the best teams in the world to the United States, as we head towards the monumental occasions of having both Rugby World Cups in America in a few years.”

Tickets go on sale March 28th at usa.rugby/tickets with pre-sales beginning on March 27th.
