Sale Sharks and Exeter Chiefs have been invited to compete in the Tyrrells Premier 15s for the next three seasons, replacing Richmond and Waterloo, the Rugby Football Union has announced.

The governing body on Monday named the 10 teams that will compete in the top flight of the women’s club game in England until 2023, with applications from Sale and Exeter succeeding during the second phase of the process.

Bristol Bears, Gloucester-Hartpury, Harlequins, Loughborough Lightning, Saracens and Wasps were all admitted as the top six ranked teams.

After applications for the remaining four teams were opened up, the RFU selected Durham, Exeter, Sale and Worcester to participate.

Decisions are subject to appeal and will not be finalised until a participation agreement is signed. Richmond described the RFU’s decision as “very disappointing and upsetting” but did not indicate any intention to appeal.

The RFU’s head of women’s performance Nicky Ponsford said: “The quality of the applications was very high.

“We’re looking forward to working with those clubs who have been with us since the league launched in 2017 as well as welcome Exeter and Sale, both of whom have exciting plans which will undoubtedly add quality to the division both on and off the field.”

The RFU also announced the Tyrrells Premier 15s Development League will no longer take place with effect from the 2020-21 season.

Everyone knows the Springboks' ranking was juiced

Ah yes, as soon as I saw the article headline I knew dear Ol' BS was going to spout his BS again. What he fails to realise is that, firstly this isn't a World Cup year so Rassie isn't particularly worried.

Secondly Rassie and Springboks and fans don't care much about the World Rankings because it is a joke. Yes Ireland won a long streak of games but they can't win that elusive WC they have been striving for. The reason that the World Cup gives extra points is because everyone wants to be able to lift that cup. The satisfaction and pride of being able to lift that trophy has been the Springboks' for four times now, thrice to All Blacks, twice to Wallabies and once to England. Where does Ireland feature? Where has France been? Neither team has the BTT or Big Tournament Temperament. Ireland never having won a playoff match. You might call it luck or fluke but like you said and I quote "It takes sustained winning over a rival to proclaim one’s superiority" Ireland just don't have the stamina. They proven themselves to flop when the game matters the most. It's easier to win when the stakes are lower, the pressure is lower and not much rides upon the result. It takes another level of endurance and stamina to play and win three play-off matches in a row and win.

You call it luck because Springboks won but what if either France England or ABs had beaten us by one point. Would that have been luck or top quality skill to down the reigning champions?

Also to win one game by one point is luck, to do it twice is skill, but to do it three times is master strategy.

Because Benny ol' fruit all you see is the score, but what you fail to realise is that there was massive psychological games happening there. The way Rassie planned his play style against France differed drastically against England, and then also against New Zealand. If you don't believe me watch Squidge Rugby's analysis of each play off match on Y0uTube.

It was an entire mastermind. Also he knew he had a top quality Bomb Squad that he had planned to play with throughout each play-off match.

Lastly, Rassie doesn't mind losing mid season matches if it means he properly prepares for the next World Cup. Because that way you give your teams rest and figure who are the best combinations to play with and for what opponent.

Rassie doesn't put too much faith on each match although he will always want to win. He is more interested in figuring out how to be innovative for the next WC. Whereas France and Ireland seek to win each game, they inevitably sacrifice learning, blooding good players and rest for longest win streaks. Neither team has ever won a World Cup and as such have to work much harder to reach #1 and even harder to retain it.

Also sidenote, World Rankings setup is a joke. It hardly accounts for what is actually happening.

Sorry BS, you are not givings us facts, you are giving us rantings. It's your hot air and not much light scenario.
