VIDEO: Leinster's big summer signing has given his first interview

Scott Fardy has landed in Dublin

Scott Fardy, the 39-cap Australian international forward, has arrived for pre-season training with Leinster Rugby ahead of the 2017/18 season.

Fardy arrives after finishing his sixth season with the Brumbies in Super Rugby where he made 82 appearances for the Canberra-based side, making 75 starts and scoring nine tries.

Fardy has joined up with Leinster ahead of a busy pre-season for Leo Cullen’s side with a trip to Perpignan on 11th August, followed by the Bank of Ireland Pre-season Friendlies against Gloucester Rugby at St Mary’s RFC on 18th August and Bath Rugby at Donnybrook Stadium on 25th August. Yeah they could have done with more grunt against France for sure. The opportunity for Lakai was good, and he was affective for 40 minutes but a full 80 was far too much to put on a debutant, losing a bit of the punch that was needed in the game be himself coming on fresh at the end.

Believe it or not rugby is a team sport. We did not lose the WC final because of Richie. He was one of our best in the Final and was named in the Tournament 15 after it was all over. You could say Sam Cane cost us the Final, he got carded AGAIN......

Nice article. I can certainly see the reasoning on the Red Roses but I'm a kiwi and physiologically incapable of wishing England will win. Would love to see more action for the smaller nations - including getting the ABs to play in Fiji.
