Watch: Behind the back pass sets up All Blacks stunner

Promising All Blacks Sevens flyer Ngarohi McGarvey-Black has delivered one of the best passes you’ll see to set up a try at the Singapore Sevens.

McGarvey-Black, 21,  sets up the score after an incredible kick and regather starting inside his own 22-metre line.

After following the kick up, McGarvey-Black is closed in on by two Australian defenders, but manages to send a miracle behind the back pass to trailing teammate Tim Mikkelson, who then quickly shovels it on to Dylan Collier, who finishes the length of the field try by crashing over in the corner.

Despite McGarvey-Black’s efforts, New Zealand went down 19-12 against Australia in their final pool match. Australia finished top of the group and will take on Spain.

After finishing with two victories from pool play, New Zealand have booked a quarter-final berth against the always formidable Fiji, who pulled off a stunner of their own as Alasio Naduva reached speeds of 36 km/h to outpace the Spanish defence.

American speedster Carlin Isles matched McGarvey-Black and Naduva’s efforts in his side’s pool match against France, turning on the jets to go 70 metres untouched in an incredible individual show of his world-class speed.

After reaching the cup final of the Singapore event last year, the USA failed to qualify for the quarter-finals after pool losses to England and Kenya.
