Watch: Is the All Blacks/Wallabies rivalry dead?
This year’s third Bledisloe test will again be a dead rubber match, with New Zealand wrapping up the series in a classic game two in Dunedin.
It was a testament to the quality of rugby that the All Blacks and Wallabies are capable of, with the game reaching the sort of skill level we’ve seen so many times in the past: the 2000 ‘Match Made In Heaven’, the pulsating 1992 series, John Eales’s clutch winning penalty at Westpac Stadium, and more.
But all that history doesn’t disguise the fact that the All Blacks have held the Bledisloe Cup for an astonishing 15 years in a row.
Why is this? Is this rivalry the same?
