Watch: Possible lifetime ban for fan who threw beer at referee during Pro14 clash
Cardiff Blues are considering imposing a lifetime ban on a supporter who threw beer in the direction of Irish referee George Clancy during Saturday nights clash with Glasgow.

Clancy was touch judge for the game, where Glasgow came out victorious by the narrowest of margins 20-19.
The incident was captured on camera and inevitably picked up by various social media sites.

Cardiff Blues Chief Executive Richard Holland told Wales Online,
“I spoke to George Clancy after the game and apologised on behalf of the club and he appreciated and accepted that.
“It’s an extremely serious incident and the individual concerned won’t be welcome back at the ground for the foreseeable future.
“At this stage, a life ban is a serious consideration.

“It doesn’t look good at all. There is no place for this kind of thing in rugby and such behaviour will not be tolerated.
“You can’t condone it. There is no excuse for it.
“We will make a decision in due course and we will be taking the necessary action.”
Holland also added that the incident was dealt with swiftly by their stewards and security team and the individual in question was ejected from the stadium immediately.
