Bio

Ambre Mwayembe is a young French rugby union player who has played in the second row at FC Grenoble Amazones since 2019. She also represents the French women’s rugby union team.

Mwayembe was born on 1 March 2004. She grew up in Vizille and began playing rugby at around 10 years old. Her club career started in 2019, when she made her debut for FC Grenoble Amazones. She has competed with the club in the Elite 1 ever since.

In 2022, Mwayembe’s international career began with the French women’s U20 team. Here she played as a prop. The following year, in February 2023, she was chosen as part of the French training squad for the Six Nations Championship. A month later, her position in the final group was confirmed. Following this, she made her debut against Scotland on 16 April.

Mwayembe’s career has only just begun. With an impressive start and many years ahead of her, we can’t wait to see where the sport takes her.
