Bio
Gaël Fickou is an exciting French centre who currently represents Racing 92 and the French national team. Known for his athletic build, technical skills and feel for the game, he’s one of the finest all-round players of his generation.
Gaël Fickou exploded onto the rugby scene with Toulouse in 2012, when he scored a try on his Heineken Cup debut. Thanks to movement, balance and pace, he immediately drew comparisons to Jeremy Guscott.
Between 2012 and 2018, Fickou made 135 appearances for Toulouse and scored almost 200 points in the process. After six seasons, he moved to Stade Français for the start of the 2018–19 season. However, his stay with the French giants was short lived and he joined rivals Racing 92 ahead of the 2021-22 season.
Due to Fickou’s obvious talents, he made his international debut for France at the age of just 18. Since, he’s been a regular starter for the French national team. His most memorable time on the international stage came in 2022, when he was part of the French side that claimed the Grand Slam at the Six Nations Championship.
With many years of top-class rugby still ahead of him, we can’t wait to see what else Gaël Fickou can achieve in the game.
