Bio
Thomas Ramos is highly regarded as one of the world’s greatest fullbacks and place-kickers. The French rugby union player has been contributing his skills as a fullback to Toulouse since he was 18, and he joined the France national team for the first time during the 2019 Six Nations.
Ramos was born in Mazamet, France, on 23 July 1995 and he began playing rugby at the age of five. At 18 he played his first professional match with Toulouse. He’s stayed with the club ever since, barring a loan spell with Colomiers in the 2016-17 season.
During his time with Colomiers, Ramos appeared 24 times, scoring five tries and 345 points. As a result, he was the top point scorer in Pro D2 at the end of the 2016-17 season.
Thomas Ramos made his France debut during the 2019 Six Nations in a match against England. He continued to represent the squad during the 2022 Six Nations, where France won the Grand Slam. He then returned for the 2023 Six Nations. France failed to retain their title during the 2023 Championship, but Ramos was named as the top scorer of the tournament.
Ramos was invited to be a member of the 34-man squad during the 2023 Rugby World Cup, where France unfortunately exited the tournament in the quarter-finals. He regained his title as a top scorer during the 2024 Six Nations, where he featured in the French team once again.
Ramos’s outstanding consistency in his game has gained him recognition as one of the best goal kickers in the world. We anticipate many more great things from him in the future.
