Pro D2 is the second tier of rugby union in France, below the Top 14 but above the Nationale. Held annually between August and May or early June, the league features some of France’s best teams and young talents.

The tournament is played in a round-robin format and the top six teams progress to the knockout stage. The winner of the final is then automatically promoted to the Top 14. Meanwhile, the losing finalist faces the team that finished second-from-bottom in that season’s Top 14. The winner of this play-off match takes the final position in next season’s Top 14.

Which team do you think will climb to the top of the Pro D2 standings this year? Make your opinions heard by commenting below or cast your vote in our interactive poll.
