Stade Aurillacois Cantal Auvergne
Stade Aurillacois Cantal Auvergne, more commonly known as Aurillac, is a French rugby union team that competes in the Pro D2, the second division of rugby union in France.
The club was founded in 1904 and has developed a strong fan base over the years. The Stade Jean Alric hosts the majority of their home matches and has a capacity of around 9,000.
In 1986, the club made the final of the Coupe de France for the first time. They ultimately finished as runners-up, after losing 40-9 against AS Béziers. In 1996, they were once again runners-up, this time in Première Division Group B.
In 2007, they won the Fédérale 1 and gained promotion to the Pro D2. Since then, the Aurillac rugby team has consistently played in the Pro D2.
Aurillac is a strong team with an enthusiastic fan base and we hope to see more success from the club in the near future.
