Toulouse Rugby are one of Europe's most successful rugby union teams. In the club's distinguished history, they've won the French Championship 20 times and the European Rugby Champions Cup on four occasions.

Since the team's formation in 1907, they've officially been known as Stade Toulousain. However, they're known more commonly by rugby fans around the world as Toulouse Rugby, or simply Toulouse. To say the side have been successful since their birth would be an understatement. They reached the final of the French Championship (now the Top 14) in 1909 and won the competition for the first time in 1912. They then followed this with five championship titles in the 1920s.
The inter-war years were slightly quieter for the Toulouse Rugby team. However, the team was still successful. Between 1945 and 1990, the team won the French Championship four times and finished as the runners-up on two occasions. They also won the World Club Championship twice, the Challenge Yves du Manoir once and the French Cup three times.
It's since 1990 that the Toulouse Rugby side have entered a class of their own. Between 1993 and 1999, the team won the French Championship five times out of a possible seven. They also won the inaugural edition of the Heineken Cup (now the European Rugby Champions Cup) in 1996. During this period, they also won the Challenge Yves du Manoir three times (1993, 1995 and 1998).
Since 2000, the team have been just as dominant. During this period, they've won the French Championship five times and finished as the competition's runners-up twice more. In fact, between 1994 and 2013, the Toulouse Rugby side reached the semi-finals of the French Championship for 20 consecutive seasons.
But, the Toulouse Rugby team don't just dominate in France. They've also won the European Rugby Champions Cup three more times since their 1996 victory, which makes them the joint-most successful side in the competition's history.
